Distractions and Compulsions: I am obsessed with my phone. It fell out of my pocket at the Portland Auto Show in January. Fortunately, it made its way to lost and found the next day. That was a very long 18 hours without my true love. Maybe my phone isn’t my true love as I was already planning its replacement. Without a phone in my hot little hands I cannot be compulsive with the internet. I have a laptop but the phone is just the right size to play the games and get on all those distracting apps. I am always looking for a better job or a better house in a better neighborhood. I compulsively shop for items that I do not need or for gifts for my nieces, nephews, sister, mother, husband, father and friends. This continuous use of my thumbs and forearms contribute to tendinitis.
